Shago
is a German company based in Hamburg. Shago is the link between German and Arab companies to the markets in the Middle East and the markets in the German-speaking world. The name Shago
stands for qualified service, advice and support, for up-to-date and well-founded information about tenders, projects, regulations and standards, laws and economic situation.
Shago emerged out of the collaboration of international chambers of commerce, IT and legal professionals.
Shago works together with chambers of commerce, foreign trade organizations and associations, decision-makers from business and politics in Germany and the region, embassies and representatives of the European Commission, specialized lawyers, institutes, management consultants and intermediaries in Germany and the region.
Concept
An important part of the concept is to build trust between the business partners. That means for German companies that they get involved with the Arab mentality. It starts with the language, but goes beyond the simple translation. The company presentation is adapted to the oriental taste. This means oriental-flowery and not European rational.
The Founder
Dr. Ali El Sharkawy founded the company Shago eK - The Bridge to the Middle East - in 2003.
He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg and Senator of the Senate of Economics Germany.
Dr. El Sharkawy has very good contacts to decision-makers in business and politics as well as international and local chambers of commerce, AHKs and embassies.
